Nursing License or CertificationOur Client is seeking Nurses (LPNs) to provide service in group home settings and long term care settings in the Waterbury area.
We have schedules for:
Ongoing Per DiemSUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY Complete routine health assessments of clients; provide individual health education to clients as needed.
Ensure and oversee the proper ordering and checking in of medications in each program.
Oversee and ensure compliance with the Medication Administration Program (MAP) procedures and regulations.
Administer medications to clients as needed.
Communicate with staff and providers regarding health concerns of clients Complete necessary documentation for client records as needed (e.
g.
nursing notes, ITP notes, etc.
) Continue to maintain and develop own professional competency.
Carry the nursing on-call phone and field nursing calls Review and update medical policies and procedures as needed.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Current CT LPN license Minimum of one (1) year of residential or psychiatric experience Familiar with federal, state, regulatory, and best practice recommendations with respect to de-escalation and restraint alternatives as well as humane restraint techniques.
