Job Details:
Manages the day-to-day activities of the Patient Access Department operations and staff under the direction of the Director of Patient Access. Responsible for two or more of the following areas: Centralized Registration, Same Day Surgery, Emergency Department, Financial Advocates, or the Pre-Processing Center. Comply with and practice the Saint Mary s Standards of Performance (Communication, Professionalism, Responsibility, Confidentiality/Privacy, Safety, Teamwork) while at work. Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor s degree in business or healthcare related field preferred.
Three years supervisory experience in patient access/admitting within an acute care hospital preferred.
Must demonstrate a strong knowledge of Medicare regulations and secondary payer processes.
Knowledge of registration and scheduling software systems necessary.
Familiarity with all regulatory agencies (e.g. CMS, JCAHO, DPH).
Strong skills with computers and Microsoft Office applications necessary.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
