Evaluates patients and designs Activity Therapy aimed at developing, promoting and/or maintaining the maximum functional ability of children, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Serves as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team on an assigned unit. Reports to the Clinical Services Manager, Program Coordinator or designee.
Performs initial Activity Therapy evaluation and/or works with patient and treatment team to obtain information relevant to a patient's past and current functional abilities.
Develops and leads, alone or with a co-therapist, Activity Therapy groups that are insight-oriented, recreational, and/or educational in nature.
Provide ongoing individual and group psychotherapy, as assigned.
Provide family therapy, with proper licensure and under direct concurrent supervision, for the purpose of developing understanding of family theory and clinical interventions.
Maintains accurate, professional documentation of appropriate information as required by Activity Therapy policy, hospital policy, Joint Commission, state and federal standards.
Participates in planning and coordinating treatment services.
Maintains professional competency by participating in ongoing clinical supervision and performance improvement activities.
Maintains supplies and materials.
Provides in-service training to clinical staff on the therapeutic use of activities.
Requirements:
Master's Degree Required in Art Therapy, Dance/Movement Therapy, Music Therapy, or related field.
Professional certification required or must be obtained within a mutually agreed upon time frame.
Professional knowledge of psychiatric conditions and their clinical manifestations.
Demonstrate working knowledge of individual and group dynamics.
Ability to work as member of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
Interpersonal skills required to motivate patients to work toward goals.
Communication skills, both written and oral, needed to present Activity Therapy goals and programs.
Creativity to utilize a variety of treatment modalities.
Ability to work independently in an unstructured environment including possible exposure to all patient elements. (i.e., blood borne pathogens)
Ability to tolerate stress associated with hostility, abusive language and disorderly conduct encountered with patients and families in crisis.
Utilize basic computer skills in order to access and use Health stream to complete mandatory training; to access e-mail notices; and to access and use the Hospital Intranet to bid on and/or apply for open positions.
Perform automated functions that fall within job responsibility.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
