Under the general Direction of the Vice President and working in coordination with the physician chairpersons is responsible for the short and long range planning, directing and managing of the corporation's Cardiology, Respiratory, Pulmonary, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Telemetry and Cardiovascular services. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: development and recommendation of new ventures and determination of marketing strategies for the identified services; develops performance standards and key indicators for ensuring optimal department performance; monitors and reports departmental performance and enacts change when necessary; evaluates operational, financial, and customer service improvement opportunities and implements appropriate solutions. __
Current CT RN license and Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in business, hospital administration, finance or related degree preferred. Will consider candidates that are not Registered Nurses who have a Master''s of Business Administration and previous experience in Cardiac or related service line. Minimum of five years management experience in Cardiopulmonary environment required. Experience in process improvement in an acute care environment preferred.
Must have: ability to effectively institute, direct and analyze excellent patient care according to established guidelines and good medical practice; knowledge of organization delivery and financing of Cardiopulmonary, Rehabilitation and nursing department operations; knowledge of standards of clinical nursing, cardiopulmonary and rehabilitation theory, trends and educational preparation for the practice of patient care; ability to effectively design and coordinate overall business and strategic plans for responsible departments; excellent written, verbal and organizational communication skills. Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to effectively communicate with physicians, staff at all levels, patients and visitors.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
