_SCOPE OF POSITION:_
Under general direction of the Vice President of Operations, employs a strategic orientation to plan, organize, staff, direct and control the following areas: Purchasing, Distribution, Storeroom, Inventory Control, Printing, Mail Room. Hospital lead for supply and service expense reduction initiatives and end user point of contact for GPO. Reports to the Vice President of Operations.

Responsibilities:_
? Organizes work and manages staff to provide timely and effective results, utilizing staff and financial resources to their fullest extent. Cooperates and coordinates with managers in resolving system problems, suggesting changes in methods and procedures.
? Lead the continuous improvement of Materials Management and related hospital supply chain operations.
? Develops implements and monitors materials policies and procedures aligned to strategic supply chain initiatives in cooperation with effected departments.
? Provides input and guidance on materials system design, contracts, cost savings, problem solving and policies and procedures. Ensures adherence to such policies and procedures.
? Establishes an atmosphere of energy and creativity by providing leadership, vision and open communication.
? Develops, motivates, and appraises personnel.
? Develops career development/training and education plans for members of staff.
? Attends seminars, classes or vendor education and reads current literature in order to remain educated/informed of trends in supply chain management.
? Maintains inventory system, ensures that inventory system is managed efficiently.
? Responsible for progressive improvement in inventory turns.
? Accountable for successful hospital-wide inventory, as needed.
? Participation in various committees, leadership role as needed.
? Responsible and accountable for the spending budget for Materials Department, and entire hospital supply budget.
? Works collaboratively with Finance in resolving invoice issues, vendor term and payments, and other related issues.
? Maximizes all cost savings and cost avoidance by utilizing all resources in managing contracts; provides guidance to our customers and suppliers; initiates cost improvement programs.
? Manages and tracks all cost savings initiatives.
? Understands and monitors market share indicators for all relevant spend categories.
? Responsible and accountable for the managing of the hospital vendors. Manages hospital vendor credentialing program.
? Directs compliance with GPO contracts.
? Creates and negotiates contracts as assigned.
? Develops RFPs and manages bid processes as necessary.
? Manages the postal, courier, and copy center functions, assuring the timely and economical delivery of mail, handling of medical records and materials and processing of printed materials.
_REQUIREMENTS:_
? Bachelor's degree in business/health care administration or relevant discipline required.
? Master's Degree in relevant discipline preferred.
? Excellent analytic, organizational and communication skills.
? Possess TQM knowledge base.
? Comprehensive knowledge of the entire field of Materials Management.
? Strong knowledge of hospital operations.
? Five to seven years of experience in hospital materials management required including five years in a management/supervisory capacity.
? Proven performance demonstrating responsibility and accountability.
? Proven history of program management.
? Ability to lead interdisciplinary teams effectively.

__ Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
